Being one of the pioneers and masters of fusion jazz, Rens Newland presents here kind of a new approach: with his younger fellow musicians, Wolfi Rainer on light drums and Andy Mayerl on upright bass, he plays mainly acoustic steel guitars (some tunes with his crunchy Jazz guitar) to come up with what he calls "bluesy acoustic fusion".
The concept is about bringing colour into a grey world.
