Jimi and Albert got to learn each other in the year 1971 at the legendary club „Jazzfreddy“ in Vienna. At that time each played in a different band. For a big event in 1989 together they formed a band with their favorite musicians. The succes of this concert was overwhelming, and so this became the birth of the „Jimi U - Albert Mair Quintet“ or in short: J.A.Q.!
