A new chapter for Joschi Schneeberger's band: since his son Diknu Schneeberger went his own way, the new quartet has emerged! Also on board: the longyear companions pianist Aaron Wonesch, Latin percussionist Anton Mühlhofer and jazz guitarist Martin Spitzer. All band members have contributed some own compositions and of course also show up as soloists! Beboppy modern jazz, gipsy swing and Latin beats.Fresh, cheeky, friendly and virtuoso - an album with a very positive aura, which is already evident in the name of the album: “Wanderlust”!

This 4th album of Diknu Schneeberger marks already the 10th Anniversery of his Trio. He is only in his mid twenties though! His playing is exceptionnel by its clearness, musicality, solidity and virtuosity! Special on these recordings is the fact that for the first time a lot of the great compostions are by the bandleader himself. Also the bass of father Joschi Schneeberger is more featured in sollos than on the previous albums.

This time the Quintet shows its sympathetic virtuosity and musicality live on stage! They delight us just with their own original compositions, which sound like standards already anyway. The typical Schneeberger style drifts between delicate Latin Grooves and Gypsy Swing. This great quartet around the highly talented Jazz pianist Robert Schönherr takes us on a journey through several colours and styles. The leader plays Grand Piano as good as the Fender Rhodes and the melodies are mostly played by the outstanding saxophone player Herwig Gradischnig (a Jive Music Artist as well!). His tone is smooth and wonderful, the lines smart and modern. Drummer Mario Gonzi, as always, is impulsive and sometimes crazy driving and the bass of Joschi Schneeberger makes the solid bottom! As a guest the ladysonger Alexandra Schenk is giving us some nice relaxing spots. Not a one nite thing!
